General Information All our
local streams have steelhead that average 8-12 lbs in weight with plenty
in the 14-18 lbs range to keep the interest high and the rod hand a bit
"shaky" . Only those times when major weather patterns are in our area are
the streams unfishable, and then only for a few days as most drop and
clear quickly.
We have both float and walk-in trips.
We are a state licensed guide service and have many years of experience
on the rivers and streams of Southwest Washington.
We recommend a 50% deposit to secure a booking date.

Kalama River Only 30 minutes north
of the shoppe, some of the finest
fishing for steelhead on the west coast comes from this lengendary
stream and it's only 25 min. from town. My first steelhead that
I landed after moving to Wa. some 32 yrs. ago came from the Kalama,
not my very first steelie but one I'll never forget. There's something
special about a steelhead on the fly even after 40 yrs.now and 2,000
fish later each is still a treasure and one of the great thrills
in all of flyfishing.
East Fork Lewis
River Located only 9 miles from our shoppe, it's a
relatively small stream but has one of the best runs in WA. (Washington
state record of 32+ lbs came from this prolific stream). The East Fork is
blessed with year around returns with April, May, June, September,
October, and November being the prime fly months.
Deschutes
Basin Private Lakes
2013. Monday, May 6 and Monday, May 20. Only $225.00/Rod. Through our great
friends John & Amy Hazel at The Deschutes Angler
Fly Shoppe we have access to over 30 private lakes
just 2 1/2 hours from Vancouver. These lakes
teem with huge Kamloop Rainbow Trout, ranging in
size from 17 to 30 inches. The lakes are all
fly fishing only, catch & release. Mark
will have room for up to 8(eight) anglers each day. He
will be there during each outing. Pick a day
or two and join him on this fantastic private fishery.
There are still a few spots open.
Deli-style lunch provided.

Washougal River Only 20 miles east of our shoppe at the entrance to the Columbia Gorge,
it's famous hatchery produces a strain of steelhead that is the most
productive of all. It is a stream much like the East Fork Lewis in size
and season, but has it's own character and charm. In the last 18 years
Mark has spent many hours on this famous Washington tributary.
Klickitat River One of our
favorite late summer and fall steelhead streams located further up the
Columbia Gorge. About 70 miles from our shoppe, it's a larger stream that
has many opportunities and varieties of water. It originates on the slopes
of Mt. Adams and is a glacial river that clears up in late August through
October. What a treat!
Travel Adventures Mark works
with a host of guides and services and can make arrangements to
accommodate your angling adventures. Booking trips, arranging
transportation, suggesting restaurants and lodging accommodations are
among the many services provided. Give Mark a call at (360)573-9383
